Laser Mouse: Why You Should Consider Purchasing One

A laser mouse is much like a regular computer mouse, with one exception: a laser mouse is equipped with a laser beam (rather than a standard ball). Laser mice are very worth purchasing due to their proven excellent efficiency.
These kinds of mice are becoming increasingly popular among computer users, because of the fact that they are widely believed to have a much better tracking ability than the typical mouse. They are also not as easily dirtied, and do not distort the signal as much as the usual computer mice do.

The history of the laser mouse began with the introduction of the optical mouse, during the 1990s. The optical mouse was immediately met with acclaim and praise, due to the fact that its efficiency made computer work much easier. Its popularity was also due to the fact that it was available in a wireless format, which made it less constricting and more adaptable for users than the standard ball mouse. Also, as anyone with a ball mouse knows, it is incredibly easy for them to collect dirt and stop working until it is taken apart and cleaned. However, with optical and laser mice, this does not happen.
The first laser mouse was introduced by Logitech, in 2004. The first laser mouse model was deemed the Logitech MX 1000, and it was immediately very popular among computer users.

An optical mouse uses a light emitting diode (commonly referred to as an LED), which is most often red. A laser mouse (which is still a type of optical mouse), however, will emit a laser beam that is nearly invisible to the naked human eye.
The beam emitted by the laser mouse actually moves with the user’s hand, triggering an optical sensor system. This allows for the much smoother and accurate movement than any other mouse. In addition, a laser mouse can reflect from almost any surface, unlike a ball mouse. This makes it a great traveling tool; also, a mouse pad isn’t necessary for the workability of a laser mouse. Laser mouse users have used their mice on everything from regular desktop surfaces to their own pant legs. The mouse will basically work about anywhere.

When considering purchasing a laser mouse, it’s important to shop around and consider different brands – though this can be daunting, since there are a wide variety of laser mice. Some of the best laser mice brands are Logitech, Razer, Microsoft and Apple. These companies’ laser mice vary in price from about $40 to well over $100 – it simply depends on what you are willing to pay. Any laser mouse, no matter the brand, is going to be more efficient and better to use than a standard ball mouse. If you are a frequent computer user, you should consider purchasing a laser mouse. You will not have to clean the mouse, its workability is unparalleled, and it will make for a much happier and more productive computer experience for you.
